Maikel Antwerp is a high-end hairdresser in Antwerp and was in need of a rebrand that translates his bold, fun, and queer vibe. The hair salon's mission is that every client gets a personal treatment from a highly professional team and becomes a brand ambassador. The salon is always filled with vibrant music, colorful flowers and happy people.

 

We went for a statement identity with a typographical logo that hints at the lines of wavy hair and scissors. The colors exude an outspoken, quirky, optimistic vibe that perfectly fits his clientèle.

We went for an atypical use of stationery materials with a strong tactile form. Business cards were printed on Curious skin red which has a soft plastic velvety feel with glossy hotfoil Sugar Pink 657.
